MISS PROGRESS UNITED KINGDOM 2023

Human Rights

I strongly believe in the right to education for those children with additional needs who do not always receive the right education because their needs have not been identified yet, due to lack of services. The award would allow me to provide assistance to some of those children who are waiting for a health care plan or diagnosis. No child should be denied access to education, regardless of their social or health status.

MISS PROGRESS JAPAN 2023

Health

Japan is known to be a peaceful country, but the number of suicides ranks first among the G7 countries. Many people become mentally ill when stress is beyond their ability to bear, building up in a sneaky way that is invisible to others. I can play the piano and want to organize relaxing music therapy concerts. In this way I would also help people socialize and expand their network of contacts, facilitating an improvement in their mental condition.

MISS PROGRESS BELGIUM 2023

Human Rights

For some people being homeless seems to like a punishment. It is dehumanizing to have to beg for food or shelter, and that has to change. With my project I would like to make people understand that being found in such conditions is not always a choice. My intent is to help them by giving them easier access to food, clothing and shelter.

MISS PROGRESS PUERTO RICO 2023

Environment

My intent is to support the initiatives of "Antes Que Sea Tarde" to encourage community volunteerism to benefit the environment.
In Puerto Rico, for example, we were able to increase the lives of the “lute” turtles in danger of extintion. Volunteering, coordinated by highly qualified agencies and individuals, can achieve tangible results, such as increasing the population of endangered animals.

My project proposes financial support to villagers to encourage them to reduce the negative impact caused by the high use of coal and firewood for heating. It is necessary to introduce and use solar energy in rural and urban areas and more efficient traditional devices, as well as promote tree planting programs to control deforestation.

Human Rights

I decided to support the Women's Justice Network (WJN), an all-female organization that supports women after prison. They help them with emotional support, housing assistance and job applications. I have already been a mentor of the Women's Justice Network and have seen the impact it has had on women. The sisterhood that WJN has established ensures that women are empowered and have a positive future.

MISS PROGRESS SPAIN 2023

Health

Although I do not have great financial means, I am already involved in providing clean and healthy food to homeless people. Every week I manage to distribute a dozen meals, and I can only be excited about the sense of fulfillment this activity gives me. The eventual success would allow me to have more means and involve more people in continuing this activity and, thus, provide more people with the nutritional intake that they would otherwise lack.

MISS PROGRESS ITALY 2023

Human Rights

We know how important it is to give psychological support and care. Often, however, this service is not accessible or turns out to be expensive. With a group of volunteers I would renovate and maintain a small counseling center in which to receive patients in need of even just talking, free of charge. Then I would look for sponsors and testimonials to expand the activity by building more facilities and find doctors specialized in the field who can help anyone in need.

Femicide and gender inequality are both serious problem in Mexico.

"Create Your Forest" comes from the problems of families living in poverty due to low agricultural productivity. The project "Environmental Conservation as an Economic Alternative through Reforestation and Meliponiculture in the Cerro Frio Reserve" in Matagalpa, Nicaragua allows the purchase of 7500 plants to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and, with the economic bonuses obtained, to improve the lives and prospects of the people of that territory.

My proposal is to help the Atiquizaya Health Unit pay more attention to children who have difficulty brushing their teeth. Parents must understand that this is an integral part of their children's education, with cleaning campaigns, treatment for the most serious cases and, therefore, to give them a healthy smile, preventing caries and creating good habits.

MISS PROGRESS MALAYSIA 2023

Human Rights

Menstruation is intrinsically and closely linked to human dignity.
Access to safe and hygienic menstrual products is, therefore, a human rights issue.
If a woman cannot have access to safe intimate hygiene, she is unable to manage her period with dignity. My project aims to facilitate the most disadvantaged segments of the population to limit this serious problem.

Voluntary skin depigmentation has existed for hundreds of years in Africa and Asia, where fair skin is considered a criterion of beauty and higher social status. The use of depigmenting products can lead to several diseases, but many women, worldwide, still use these products driven by insistent advertising. My project aims to support the “Stop depigmentation movement” and promote all kinds of beauty.

I strongly believe that reused, recycled and repurposed waste can be utilized into valuable renewable energy. I would like to associate my project with Recycle Green by creating a digital platform with QR codes and placing smart bins. By using them, citizens will gain tangible benefits through the points they earn from recycling, which can be converted into money or get them basic necessities.
