MISS PROGRESS UNITED KINGDOM 2023
I strongly believe in the right to education for those children with additional needs who do not always receive the right education because their needs have not been identified yet, due to lack of services. The award would allow me to provide assistance to some of those children who are waiting for a health care plan or diagnosis. No child should be denied access to education, regardless of their social or health status.
MISS PROGRESS JAPAN 2023
Japan is known to be a peaceful country, but the number of suicides ranks first among the G7 countries. Many people become mentally ill when stress is beyond their ability to bear, building up in a sneaky way that is invisible to others. I can play the piano and want to organize relaxing music therapy concerts. In this way I would also help people socialize and expand their network of contacts, facilitating an improvement in their mental condition.
MISS PROGRESS BELGIUM 2023
For some people being homeless seems to like a punishment. It is dehumanizing to have to beg for food or shelter, and that has to change. With my project I would like to make people understand that being found in such conditions is not always a choice. My intent is to help them by giving them easier access to food, clothing and shelter.
MISS PROGRESS PUERTO RICO 2023
My intent is to support the initiatives of "Antes Que Sea Tarde" to encourage community volunteerism to benefit the environment.
In Puerto Rico, for example, we were able to increase the lives of the “lute” turtles in danger of extintion. Volunteering, coordinated by highly qualified agencies and individuals, can achieve tangible results, such as increasing the population of endangered animals.
MISS PROGRESS TANZIANIA 2023
My project proposes financial support to villagers to encourage them to reduce the negative impact caused by the high use of coal and firewood for heating. It is necessary to introduce and use solar energy in rural and urban areas and more efficient traditional devices, as well as promote tree planting programs to control deforestation.
MISS PROGRESS AUSTRALIA 2023
I decided to support the Women's Justice Network (WJN), an all-female organization that supports women after prison. They help them with emotional support, housing assistance and job applications.
I have already been a mentor of the Women's Justice Network and have seen the impact it has had on women. The sisterhood that WJN has established ensures that women are empowered and have a positive future.
MISS PROGRESS PERU 2023
"Salvemos Corazones," or "Let's Save Hearts," is a health project that will be applied to 80 people from "Los Martincitos," an elderly program located in the Villa el Salvador district. It is a hypertension screening campaign conducted by doctors from "CardioSalud" to identify those suffering from this disease in order to provide them with appropriate treatment and improve their quality of life.
MISS PROGRESS SPAIN 2023
Although I do not have great financial means, I am already involved in providing clean and healthy food to homeless people. Every week I manage to distribute a dozen meals, and I can only be excited about the sense of fulfillment this activity gives me. The eventual success would allow me to have more means and involve more people in continuing this activity and, thus, provide more people with the nutritional intake that they would otherwise lack.
MISS PROGRESS ITALY 2023
We know how important it is to give psychological support and care. Often, however, this service is not accessible or turns out to be expensive. With a group of volunteers I would renovate and maintain a small counseling center in which to receive patients in need of even just talking, free of charge. Then I would look for sponsors and testimonials to expand the activity by building more facilities and find doctors specialized in the field who can help anyone in need.vote
MISS PROGRESS MEXICO 2023
Femicide and gender inequality are both serious problem in Mexico.
My project targets the low-income female population in the small town area of Tepechitlan. My goal is to decrease the number of such crimes by teaching women how to defend themselves and take care of themselves through seminars and self-defense classes.
MISS PROGRESS NICARAGUA 2023
"Create Your Forest" comes from the problems of families living in poverty due to low agricultural productivity.
The project "Environmental Conservation as an Economic Alternative through Reforestation and Meliponiculture in the Cerro Frio Reserve" in Matagalpa, Nicaragua allows the purchase of 7500 plants to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and, with the economic bonuses obtained, to improve the lives and prospects of the people of that territory.
MISS PROGRESS EL SALVADOR 2023
My proposal is to help the Atiquizaya Health Unit pay more attention to children who have difficulty brushing their teeth. Parents must understand that this is an integral part of their children's education, with cleaning campaigns, treatment for the most serious cases and, therefore, to give them a healthy smile, preventing caries and creating good habits.
MISS PROGRESS MALAYSIA 2023
Menstruation is intrinsically and closely linked to human dignity.
Access to safe and hygienic menstrual products is, therefore, a human rights issue.
If a woman cannot have access to safe intimate hygiene, she is unable to manage her period with dignity. My project aims to facilitate the most disadvantaged segments of the population to limit this serious problem.
MISS PROGRESS REUNION 2023
Voluntary skin depigmentation has existed for hundreds of years in Africa and Asia, where fair skin is considered a criterion of beauty and higher social status. The use of depigmenting products can lead to several diseases, but many women, worldwide, still use these products driven by insistent advertising. My project aims to support the “Stop depigmentation movement” and promote all kinds of beauty.
MISS PROGRESS PHILIPPINES 2023
The "gARTbage" project is a creative and unique approach to waste management and environmental sustainability. This practice, also known as "upcycling" or "recycled art”, involves reusing or recycling abandoned or discarded materials to create works of art. We will also sell the art and promote it online and on television to raise funds for the cause and encourage schools and communities to participate.
MISS PROGRESS COSTA RICA 2023
My project aims to reduce the cases of Aedes aegypti mosquito-borne diseases, such as dengue, zika and chikungunya, which are currently a problem in my country. The goal is to implement the use of homemade repellents (made by me), provide mosquito nets, carry out fumigation and litter collection campaigns near known mosquito breeding sites.
MISS PROGRESS CANADA 2023
Marginalized people face different kinds of obstacles such as discrimination and inequality in their job search. Few are aware of how this affects their rights. My approach is to allow individuals in this situation to express their experiences and knowledge in a panel-style discussion lasting up to one hour in a podcast called Join The Discussion. With targeted promotional ads I will promote the videos and engage and involve a wide audience.vote
MISS PROGRESS COLOMBIA 2023
The aim of my project is to carry out a process of collecting water from the Bogota river in the municipality of Soacha, in the village of El Charquito. The water will be treated by means of ozonation and oxygenation to allow the development of beneficial bacteria in the sample obtained. This will allow responding to health problems in the area, since gastric, respiratory and dermal diseases are often present in the population.
MISS PROGRESS ALGERIA 2023
In many regions of Algeria, water needs are only partially covered. This situation is explained by the state of the networks, which have deteriorated due to institutional and financial constraints in the sector. The project aims to increase the reliability of drinking water supply and improve the management capacity of existing projects by working alongside the National Agency for Dams and Transfers
MISS PROGRESS GUATEMALA 2023
With a very small investment I will place food dispensers for stray dogs in the areas they frequent. Next to them there will be water dispensers with a deworming agent so that feces will be less dangerous and can be collected easily using well-distributed bags.
Accompanied by a rabies vaccination campaign, contamination will be drastically reduced and the lives of the poor animals improved.
MISS PROGRESS SOUTH AFRICA 2023
My intention is to support 'Serene home', a mental health center in Johannesburg where people receive care for their mental health.
After extensive research, I discovered that mental illness is the root cause of about 85 per cent of the problems we are facing in our societies and the world at large, with serious consequences in many areas. The aim of the program is, therefore, to save the world.
MISS PROGRESS KAZAKHSTAN 2023
My investment would be focused on the purchase of a small photovoltaic system that can power my daily household consumption and, with the help of my friends, family and followers, I would make a daily live appointment with my phone at certain times of the day during which I would show viewers how effective, simple and inexpensive the use of common household appliances can become.
MISS PROGRESS INDIA 2023
I strongly believe that reused, recycled and repurposed waste can be utilized into valuable renewable energy. I would like to associate my project with Recycle Green by creating a digital platform with QR codes and placing smart bins. By using them, citizens will gain tangible benefits through the points they earn from recycling, which can be converted into money or get them basic necessities.
